When Kelly first reached out to me about photographing their November wedding, I suggested we meet at Cunningham’s Cafe so I could learn more about their big day. Little did I know, but Joel actually proposed at Cunningham’s upstairs restaurant! It was total kismet. On that first fateful meeting, Kelly told me about her dream wedding day, complete with bohemian details and wildflowers, and I completely fell in love with her vision. Needless to say, I was so excited when they hired me!
When we began brainstorming ideas for the engagement session, Kelly sent over a list of four or five places that had special significance to them, and I literally loved every single location that they picked! A couple after my own heart! We settled on Belvedere Square Market, and after some iffy weather forecasts decided to nix our plan to hike at Rocks State Park. Lucky for us, the sun decided to actually come out! So after starting off with some handmade cocktails at Grand Cru and a brief salsa session in front of the Baltimore Love Project, we hopped over to the nearby Cylburn Arboretum to capitalize on the green space and beautiful gardens! It was such a fun evening, and I love how natural Kelly and Joel are together. They just gravitate towards one another in the sweetest way, and I’m not even exaggerating when I say that I didn’t have to pose them.
Kelly and Joel, I had such a blast with you two! I cannot wait for the big day <3
